ARCHITECTURE PORTFOLIO

In this project each of us were assigned a location and were required to find a client for whom to design a residential home to fit their needs.  The client I chose was my cousin who lives in Hastings, MN.  He is married with two kids and lives near the St. Croix River.  He is also an international pilot so he wanted the design of the house to incorporate designs of the plane he pilots, a Boeing 757.  The way I combined the design of the plane into the building was by taking the angle of the vertical stabilizer which is 22.5 degrees and made components of the house the exact same angle.  I added windows to the entire river-side view of the house to give a great view and also is similar to the large horizontal span of windows on a Boeing 757.   Other spaces he wanted was a living room, dining room, kitchen, 2-car garage, 3 bedrooms, guest bedroom & bathroom and also a large deck, which can be seen on the floor plans.
